Bra-La-La Hosts Pink Night

Mary Jordan of Bra-La-La in Maple Lawn, Maryland, hosts an annual fundraiser to raise awareness for breast cancer.  The evening begins with a bra stretch which spanned over a mile through the streets of Maple Lawn.  We were honored to be invited to participate and document this event.

It was great fun to see entire families participating.

Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival

I was thrilled to attend the Potomac Jazz and Seafood Festival at St. Clements Island, Maryland, this summer.

I arrived just in time to see Elan Trotman.  Wow!

Next up was Nick Colionne.

Nick Colionne wooed the audience from the stage and then came into the audience to perform.

Always great fun when performers come right into the crowd, dancing showing off their skill up close and personal!

What a great annual event to benefit the museum.  So glad to be a part of it.

Stoney’s at Broomes Island

Summer has been fun and busy, and it’s hard to believe it’s almost gone.  We had a wonderful time at Stoney’s in Broomes Island, Maryland, photographing several fun events.

Cold Coors Beer and delicious seafood from Stoney’s.  Thanks Jeanne.

Then Boat Docking Competition was on – and Natty Boh had fun with the crowd.

An event for charity was Stoney’s Save the Ta-Ta’s afternoon.  Live music by John Luskey,  refreshing Sam Adams, Twisted Tea, and a fun crowd made for another successful event.

Sandy Spring Museum Strawberry Festival

It was a beautiful sunny day in Sandy Spring, Maryland, when this year’s annual Strawberry Festival was held at the Sandy Spring Museum.  The strawberries were plentiful, the crowds were enjoying the music by the local Olney Concert Band.  There was an abundance of delicious chocolate dipped strawberries, arts and crafts, face painting and fun.

Billy Bean Fund

On April 15th, we had the privilege of participating in the Maibock Tapping Party at the Rockville Gordon Biersch held as a charity event to support the Billy Bean Fund and the Patty Pollatos Foundation.  It was a wonderful opportunity and a lot of fun, as the event theme was the eighties.  Needless to say so there were  some fun costumes to be seen.

Bozick Appreciation Day

March was a busy month. It has taken all of April and a bit of May to catch up!  But here are a few pictures from the first event in March, Bozick Customer Appreciation Day. What a fun time.  Music by Sam Grow Band as well as dueling pianos by Bobby McKey’s from National Harbor.  And there was plenty of beer and food to sample, of course.

Postcard From Provence

A rainy day like today is the perfect time to remember the sunny days we spent in Provence.  We started our journey by settling into our beautiful home for the week.  Then everywhere we turned there were beautiful colors.

One day we set out exploring the wine country stopping first in Avignon.

We also spent some time along the coast in Marseilles and Cassis.

We spent our last day in Provence exploring Les Baux-de-Provence where we found the most wonderful little shops and best olive oil ever!  Did I mention lavender?  It is Provence after all.

A Year in Review: Paris

Okay, so I love Paris.  Celebrating our anniversary in this wonderful city with our dear friends was great.  So besides eating my way around the city – oh the food –  here’s what I love about Paris.  The Louvre – and I couldn’t help but take a few photos of this beautiful bride and groom.  Terry’s Takes.

City Streets, the flower shops, the windows, the book stores, the people enjoying the city, lunch in the park.

Street Performers everywhere:

After climbing the stairs of the Arc de Triomphe, we happened upon a ceremony.

And of course, Paris at night, with all the lights and activity:

A Year in Review: Autumn

Fall is always a busy time of year for us with lots of family portraits and weddings.  Pictures are always beautiful among the colorful leaves.  Still, we try to find time to drive through the country looking for new locations to capture.  This year we came upon a beautiful farm and an antique car show.  Terry’s Takes.

Fall is also time for football.  I had a fun afternoon this fall capturing my nephew, Devon, in action.  Terry’s Takes.

A Year in Review: Annapolis Engagement

What a perfect day for a sail!  A highlight of September was having the privilege of capturing the moment when Mike proposed to Caroline aboard the schooner Woodwind as we sailed out of Annapolis and under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.  As you can see, she said yes.     Terry’s Takes.
